Monday, January 19, Martin Luther King Celebration, Stride Center, Enid, OK
Each year the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Commission plans and organizes a comprehensive tribute that promotes diversity, equality, and education consistent with Dr. King’s dream, work, and legacy. This year the theme is “Know Your History.”
The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday Commission announces the following celebratory events slated for Monday, January 19 at the Stride Bank Center Arena, located at 301 S. Independence Avenue:
• MLK Prayer Breakfast: 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.
• MLK Celebration Lunch and Program: 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
• MLK Commemorative March: 1:30 p.m. (begins at the Stride Bank Center Arena)
Local student poster, poetry, and essay winners will be awarded at the celebration program.
