April 5th  Spread the word!

Garfield County Democrats will be assembling in Enid at 202 W. Walnut (Enid Sr. Center) on April 5, 2025, at 10:00 AM for the County Convention and Officer and delegates to the district and state conventions elections.

Order of Convention:
1.  Precinct elections.  We will break into precincts and elect officers.  Precinct Officers will have the ability to find local democrats in their precinct so that they can be notified of elections.  A precinct is the smallest political division and include those who vote at the same location.  If you are unable to attend, but wish to be involved, please email or text 580-548-4840 (Dena Felton, current county secretary).

2.  County elections.   As a group we will vote on Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary,  Affirmative Action committee persons, and delegates to the district and state conventions.  County Officers help to organize the precinct officers and county events.  Officers include Chair and Vice-chair, Secretary, and Affirmative Action officers.  In order to be promote equality of the sexes, the chair and vice-chair must be differing sex.   Our officers and delegates must be equally balanced by sex.

3.  Then we want to hear your ideas on what our legislators should be working toward (Resolutions).  See 2024 Resolutions at http://garfieldcountyokdemocrats.com/2017-resolutions/ and a proposed resolution for 2025 at http://garfieldcountyokdemocrats.com/resolution-to-raise-the-oklahoma-income-tax-standard-deduction-to-the-poverty-rate/

You do not have to run or volunteer for an office to be heard.

If you wish to help direct the county party, please let us know!
